The upcoming M5 Ultra is expected to fuse two M5 Max dies using UltraFusion interconnect technology, delivering up to 32 CPU cores and 80 GPU cores with memory bandwidth exceeding 1.6 TB/s. This unified memory architecture makes the workstation particularly attractive for developers running large-scale LLM weights locally.

The updated desktop chassis will also incorporate full Thunderbolt 5 support, enabling external data transfer rates up to 120 Gbps alongside multi-monitor 8K display output options.
