These two moves pull in opposite but related directions. Browsers are becoming places where software acts on your behalf inside complex web UIs. Automate the busywork in the browser; harden the channel that proves who you are. That split is practical now, even while Agent Mode and Strict Account Settings are still rolling out and refining their exact controls.
