Claude Code brings live iOS app testing into its Mac app

**Claude Code**’s **Mac app** now supports live **iOS app** testing inside an interactive **simulator** pane. Users can run and exercise an iOS app without leaving the Claude Code environment, as long as **Xcode** is installed with the **iOS platform**.

The setup is straightforward product mechanics rather than a separate remote farm: Claude Code surfaces an interactive simulator pane in the Mac app, and the actual iOS runtime still comes from the local Xcode install. That keeps testing on the developer’s machine, tied to Apple’s standard toolchain, instead of shipping a new simulator of its own.

For engineers and builders, this shortens the loop between AI-assisted coding and checking real app behavior. You can generate or edit code in Claude Code, then validate UI flow, navigation, and basic runtime behavior in the simulator without constant context switching to Xcode alone for every smoke check.

In a market where coding agents already help write and refactor mobile code, the missing piece has often been closed-loop verification on device-class targets. Bringing an interactive iOS simulator into the Mac app moves Claude Code from “help me write the app” toward “help me write and exercise the app” on the primary Apple development path.

The practical constraint is clear: no Xcode with the iOS platform means no simulator pane. Teams already on Mac with a normal iOS toolchain get the benefit immediately; anyone off that stack does not.
