Fastmail Introduces Dedicated European Union Data Region for Privacy-Conscious Users

Privacy-focused email service Fastmail has officially launched its **EU Data Region**, allowing European individual and business customers to store all emails, calendars, and contact records exclusively on physical servers located within the European Union. The rollout answers growing enterprise demand for strict data residency in compliance with GDPR and European privacy regulations. Customers opting into the EU region will have their data hosted in state-of-the-art datacenters powered by renewable energy, completely decoupled from US cloud infrastructure subject to CLOUD Act requests. Fastmail also introduced automated end-to-end data migration tools for existing users wishing to transfer their accounts.
