How to Install / Upgrade: Elastic Stack 8.19.19 released

Elastic Stack 8.19.19 is out today from Elastic. Elastic recommends upgrading to this latest release and prefers 8.19.19 over the previous version, 8.19.18. The release notes cover the issues fixed and the full list of changes for each product in this version.

To install or upgrade, move your Elastic Stack deployment from 8.19.18 (or any earlier 8.x line you run) to 8.19.19 using Elastic’s normal upgrade process for your setup, whether that is packages, containers, or Elastic Cloud. Apply the update across the stack products you use, and use the release notes for this version as the checklist for what each product includes. After the upgrade, restart or roll services only as your usual Elastic upgrade procedure requires so every node and component is on 8.19.19.

Treat the jump from 8.19.18 to 8.19.19 as a deliberate version pin, not an optional patch you can skip if you want the recommended build. Before you cut over, read the release notes for each product you run so you know which fixes and changes land in 8.19.19. After the upgrade, verify that cluster and product versions report 8.19.19 end to end, and confirm that the services you care about are healthy against the change list in those notes.
