By Dillip Chowdary • Jul 22, 2026 • Source: Elastic Blog

Elastic Stack 9.4.4 is out now. Elastic recommends this release over 9.4.3 and earlier 9.x builds in the 9.4 line. The release notes list the issues fixed and the full set of changes for each product in the stack.

To upgrade, move your deployment to Elastic Stack 9.4.4 rather than staying on 9.4.3. Plan and apply the upgrade for every stack product you run so versions stay aligned. Before you start, read the release notes for each product so you know what was fixed and what changed in this version.

Watch for partial upgrades: if some nodes or products stay on 9.4.3 while others move to 9.4.4, you can miss fixes that only ship in 9.4.4. Prefer 9.4.4 over 9.4.3 wherever you still have the older build. After the upgrade, confirm every product reports 9.4.4 and cross-check the release notes against the issues you care about so you know the expected fixes are in place.
