Get started with OpenAI GPT-5.6 Sol, Terra, and Luna on Amazon Bedrock
OpenAI GPT-5.6 Sol, Terra, and Luna are now generally available on Amazon Bedrock. You can select one of these models, run inference through the Responses API on the bedrock-mantle endpoint, reduce cost with prompt caching, connect the OpenAI Codex coding agent, and plan for quotas and scaling.

To install or upgrade, open Amazon Bedrock and select GPT-5.6 Sol, Terra, or Luna for your workload. Call the Responses API on the bedrock-mantle endpoint for inference. Enable prompt caching where it fits your traffic to lower cost. Wire the OpenAI Codex coding agent if you need coding workflows. Review your account quotas and scaling plan before you ramp traffic.
Watch quotas and scaling so you do not hit limits under load. Confirm the chosen model (Sol, Terra, or Luna) is the one you intend to use. Verify that Responses API calls succeed against the bedrock-mantle endpoint, that prompt caching is active when you expect it, and that the OpenAI Codex coding agent connects and runs as configured.
