To install or upgrade, move your project to mcp-handler@2.0.0 so you pick up the new MCP specification support and MCP TypeScript SDK v2 support. Keep using mcp-handler as the path to run MCP servers on those supported web frameworks after the upgrade.
Confirm you are on mcp-handler 2.0.0 after the change, since earlier releases do not include the 2026-07-28 Model Context Protocol specification support or MCP TypeScript SDK v2 support. If your stack depends on those protocol and SDK capabilities, verify the installed package version matches 2.0.0 before relying on the new support.
