Intel Showcases Low-Power x86 Chiplets Matching ARM Battery Efficiency
Intel unveiled silicon benchmarks demonstrating significant efficiency gains for its upcoming ultrabook processor lineup. Manufactured using 3D chiplet stacking and on-package low-power memory, the new chips achieve performance-per-watt parity with top ARM-based mobile silicon. In continuous playback and web browsing tests, prototype laptops sustained over 24 hours of operation on a single charge while running fanless under typical productivity workloads.
