OpenAI has acquired NextSlide, a developer of intelligent presentation tools, to bring automated slide creation and visual storytelling to ChatGPT Canvas.

OpenAI has completed the acquisition of NextSlide, an early-stage startup specializing in generative visual presentation layouts and vector graphic synthesis. The acquisition team will join OpenAI Canvas engineering group to build native slide deck generation tools inside ChatGPT.
Users will soon be able to convert research notes, financial models, and code outputs into fully formatted, interactive presentation slides with a single prompt. The move puts OpenAI in direct competition with enterprise suite defaults like Microsoft PowerPoint Copilot and Google Slides Gemini.
