Poland Overtakes Belgium and Switzerland to Become 6th-Largest Economy in the EU
Latest macroeconomic indicators from Eurostat demonstrate that Poland's economy has surpassed Belgium and Switzerland, securing its position as the sixth-largest economy in the European Union. The milestone crowns two decades of sustained GDP growth powered by high-tech manufacturing, software engineering hubs, and strategic infrastructure projects. Major international tech corporations, including Google, Intel, and Microsoft, have poured billions into Warsaw and Wrocław data centers and R&D facilities, establishing Poland as Central Europe's silicon corridor.
Economists predict Poland's momentum will continue as Europe shifts supply chains inland and accelerates regional semiconductor fabrication.
