Rivian Spinoff 'Also' Begins E-Bike Deliveries After Delays
Micro-mobility startup Also, spun out from Rivian's special projects division, officially begins shipping its premium dual-motor electric bicycles.
After months of supply chain delays, micro-mobility startup 'Also'—originally spun out of Rivian's advanced hardware skunkworks—has officially commenced customer deliveries of its flagship electric bicycle. Designed by former Rivian engineers, the premium e-bike features a custom frame-integrated dual-motor drive system and 60 miles of pedal-assist range.
The bike runs a lightweight version of Rivian's connected vehicle software, featuring over-the-air (OTA) updates, GPS anti-theft tracking, and automated regenerative braking controls. Owners can sync battery telemetry directly with Rivian's mobile app ecosystem.
