Samsung has officially expanded its fintech ecosystem today with the launch of Samsung Wallet "Trips" in Korea, the U.S., and the UK. The new feature leverages on-device AI to autonomously group airline tickets, hotel bookings, and event passes into a single, real-time updated timeline.

Security: Knox-Secured Itineraries

Unlike third-party travel apps that store data in the cloud, Samsung Trips utilizes the Knox Vault. All travel data is parsed on-device from emails and text messages, ensuring that sensitive flight numbers and passport details never leave the hardware enclave. This hardware-level isolation is a major differentiator for privacy-conscious enterprise travelers.

Agentic Features

The "Trips" module is more than a list; it acts as a Travel Agent. If a flight is delayed, the app can autonomously suggest alternative transport or rebook airport transfers via integrated partners like Uber and Lyft. Future updates are expected to include automatic "Smart Check-in" for partner hotel chains.

Availability

Samsung Wallet "Trips" is rolling out now as a software update for Galaxy S24, S25, and S26 series devices. The integration with domestic airlines in Korea and the U.S. is 100% complete, with European carrier support expected to triple by late 2026.
