Uber Open-Sources Internal Security Monitoring Engine for Claude Code and Codex

Uber Open-Sources Internal Security Monitoring Engine for Claude Code and Codex

Uber engineering team has open-sourced its internal security monitoring engine built specifically for autonomous developer tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and OpenAI Codex. The software intercepts tool calls in real time to prevent accidental hardcoded secret commits and risky shell execution. The framework connects to enterprise SIEM platforms, generating audit logs whenever an agent modifies sensitive configuration files or accesses production API credentials.

Enterprise security teams can deploy the tool locally to enforce governance policies across engineering teams adopting agentic coding.
