Valeo has taken a massive step toward securing its dominance in the Indian automotive market. The company has announced a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Gujarat dedicated to its Smart Safety 360 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
The systems being manufactured in Gujarat are not just copies of European models. Valeo's engineers have specifically tuned the computer vision algorithms to handle the unique complexities of Indian roads, including unpredictable traffic patterns and diverse vehicle types.
This localized production reduces lead times and costs for Indian OEMs, further accelerating the adoption of high-tech safety features in mass-market vehicles. The move aligns with India's "Make in India" initiative for high-tech electronics.
