Zoox Commences Commercial Paid Robotaxi Service Across Las Vegas Strip

Zoox, the autonomous mobility subsidiary owned by Amazon, has officially initiated commercial paid robotaxi operations in Las Vegas. Passengers can now book rides using the Zoox mobile app for transportation along designated routes on the Las Vegas Strip and surrounding resort corridors. Unlike converted production vehicles used by competitors, Zoox utilizes a custom-built, fully autonomous bidirectional vehicle featuring carriage-style seating for four passengers and no traditional driver controls. State regulatory approvals were granted following extensive safety testing and millions of autonomous test miles.
