Google has redefined the AI landscape yet again with the release of Gemini 2.5. The headline feature is "Infinite Context"—a breakthrough in memory management that allows the model to process and recall information from effectively limitless data streams without forgetting.

Alongside this, the new "Deep Reason" mode enables the model to pause and "think" for extended periods to solve complex mathematical or strategic problems, rivaling human experts in specialized fields.

Android 17 "Quince Tart" Preview

The first Developer Preview of Android 17 (codenamed Quince Tart) is here, and it's getting 3D. The OS introduces native support for "Holographic Widgets" designed for the next generation of light-field displays.

Developers can now build UI elements that have depth and parallax effects without needing special glasses, anticipating hardware releases from Samsung and Sony later this year.

GitHub Copilot Goes "Autopilot"

GitHub has rolled out "Copilot Autopilot," a feature that transforms the AI from a pair programmer into a maintainer. Autopilot can autonomously scan repositories for outdated dependencies, security vulnerabilities, and deprecated API usage, then open, test, and merge Pull Requests to fix them.

"It's like having a junior dev who never sleeps and knows every CVE database by heart," said Thomas Dohmke, GitHub CEO.
