Apple has released iOS 26.6 beta 5 and a new iOS 26.6 public beta for iPhone, as reported by 9to5Mac. This release joins iOS 27 public beta 1 today. While iOS 27 is very much the new focus for pre-release software, Apple is still preparing iOS 26.6 as the next iPhone update.

To install or upgrade to this update on an iPhone, navigate to the software update section to select the iOS 26.6 public beta or iOS 26.6 beta 5. Select the desired update path between iOS 26.6 and iOS 27 public beta 1. Follow the prompts on your iPhone to download and install the iOS 26.6 pre-release update.
Be aware that iOS 27 is now the primary focus for pre-release software while Apple continues preparing iOS 26.6. To verify your device has upgraded successfully, confirm in your iPhone settings that the active software build is iOS 26.6 beta 5 or the iOS 26.6 public beta.
