Runable Secures $21 Million Series A to Scale Ephemeral AI Developer Environments

Bengaluru and San Francisco-based startup Runable has raised $21 million in a Series A funding round led by prominent venture capital firms, valuing the cloud infrastructure company at $65 million. Runable provides instant, isolated cloud sandboxes optimized for software engineering teams and autonomous AI coding agents.

As AI coding assistants like Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor increasingly write and test code independently, traditional local development setups have become key productivity bottlenecks. Runable's platform spins up full-stack Linux containers in under two seconds, allowing AI agents to run test suites, build binaries, and verify deployments safely in the cloud.

The company will use the capital to scale its global edge infrastructure, expand enterprise security integrations, and hire specialized systems engineers.
