SpaceX Announces $100 Billion Louisiana 'Starbase' Megaproject for Heavy Launch
In one of the largest private infrastructure announcements in aerospace history, SpaceX has announced plans to build a second $100 billion spaceport complex in Louisiana.

The new facility, dubbed Starbase East, will feature multiple launch pads, advanced methane production units, and automated Starship assembly halls designed to support continuous orbital missions.
Construction is slated to begin in early 2027, with preliminary test launches targeted for 2029 as SpaceX expands beyond its primary Starbase site in Boca Chica, Texas.
