Taiwan Prosecutors Indict Smuggling Ring for Diverting NVIDIA H100 and H200 Chips

Taiwan prosecutors have charged a ring of shell companies with circumventing international semiconductor trade restrictions.

Taiwan prosecutors today formally indicted 12 individuals operating across a network of front companies accused of illegally exporting restricted NVIDIA H100 and H200 AI GPUs.

Investigations revealed the group utilized falsified customs manifests and intermediary shell entities in Southeast Asia to divert over $40 million in enterprise hardware.

The case marks one of the largest enforcement actions taken by Taiwanese authorities to uphold global semiconductor export control regimes.
