Pan-African venture capital firm Ventures Platform has announced the final close of its second flagship fund at $84 million. The new fund capitalizes on the rapid growth of digital infrastructure across Africa, enabling the firm to expand its investment scope beyond its traditional stronghold in Nigeria toward high-growth markets in Kenya, Egypt, and Francophone West Africa.
The oversubscribed fund received backing from leading international commercial investors, development finance institutions, and global tech executives. Managing Partner Kola Aina highlighted that the fund will target early-stage startups building essential financial infrastructure, climate-tech solutions, and enterprise software designed specifically for emerging markets.
